I am tickled pink…or yellow…at all the submissions I got for the Yellow photo project!
Thanks everyone for taking part and drawing attention to yourself by pulling your camera out in random public places. It has to be said that those of you with iPhones don’t get quite as much credit – I know you just pretend like you’re texting.
I held off posting your photos yesterday because a couple of folks emailed me asking if it was too late…but then I got so many last-minute submissions, I’m going to do two posts! I’m happy to see a lot of you are just as good at procrastinating as I am.
So, here’s the first batch, in all its golden glory, in no particular order:
By Emily, from a trip to the aquarium. Love it.
By Rusty, with his iPhone (I forgive you). I love the little shout-out.
By Russell, in England.
By Lande. The coolest thing about this photo is that that dashing Marine is Lande’s kid brother, Matthew. When I was 21, I worked with a youth group in North Carolina, and Matthew was a shaggy-haired, 15-year-old skateboarder. My, how things have changed.
And finally, Ashley. You may remember her as the photographer that took these. She sent me four photos, and I couldn’t choose, so, may I present for your viewing pleasure:
Sleepy face +sun-freckled shoulder = Perfection.
“It’s just bench, and then, no bench.”
Ashley’s best friend, Kristin. Ah, to be young and fresh-faced again.
The loveliest foliage you ever did see.
Stay tuned for Installment 2!
