Football Madness

In case you’ve missed it, we are currently engaged in the largest sporting event on Earth…

The World Cup.

(That’s soccer y’all, and it actually involves countries from all over the world – unlike the “World Series” which involves, um…two.)

It only happens every four years, and every four years my husband clears his schedule for every England game, the first of which, this year, was quite an event for our little family.

We all know how that turned out…

I have to admit I was torn, as I’m currently carrying a half-English child in my womb.  So I cheered at both goals and figured a tie was the best result for my marriage.

Simon’s not convinced.

  1. steve said he would give simon a couple of days to cool off after that game. i’m sure they have a lot to talk about… 😉

  2. Hi Faith, just saw your name on linkdin, checked out your fathers day interview (very good) and then saw hidden in your football message (we were robbed, not!!!!!!!) a little aside saying that you and Simon are expecting. Being away in USA I had’nt heard. Congratulations to you both. Back to th e football, on current form, I would suggest your Son/daughter should support USA as England did’nt deserve to win. At least USA were hungry for success and did technically beat us with the 3rd goal that the ref got wrong. Havining said that, come on you Engerland!!!!! (European cup only 2 years away!)
Hope you both well and hope to see you both when I get home.
