What Not to Say

Listen, I know what you mean.

I know you’re looking at my belly, thinking, “Wow, that’s a lot bigger than it was last time I saw her!”

I know you’re thinking, “Your stomach has grown so much.” And I know you know that I’m just carrying a child.  A child who probably weighs about 6 pounds right now.

But hear me out.

It is never, never okay to say these words to a woman:

“You’re so fat!”

Pregnant or not.

Capiche?

  1. while pregnant i had a woman at church ask me how much i had gained. i smiled and said, “oh, i dont know. im not really keeping track”. she then told me that was a very bad idea, i would most likely get very fat that way, and then proceeded to brag that she only gained 20 pounds during her pregnancy. i prayed hard…because pregnant or not…i was about to drop kick her right there in the sanctuary.
become deaf to these people. you look beautiful and you will fit into those jeans again!!
