I’m Obsessed With ___.

June 13, 2011

This stacking wooden clown by Brio.  In fact, I love all their lovely wooden toys.  And wooden toys in general.  So much nicer than plastic flashy-light things.

My new habit of reading the Bible while I nurse Adlai at bedtime.  This way, we’re both getting fed.

This fishy onesie my Finnish friend Saana brought back for Adlai from her recent trip home.

Not to mention his chubby little fingers.

My college friend Lilit is the editor-in-chief at this sassy entertainment news website, and it’s where I pick up my sneaky guilty-pleasure satisfying celebrity gossip fix.

The PostCup, by Bailey Doesn’t Bark.

At $52, it’s ever-so-slightly out of my price range, but I love the concept.

You. (That’s a mirror, get it?)

I’m serious.  I am so humbled by the folks who read this blog, comment, email me, vote for me on Top Baby Blogs.

I don’t know what I did to deserve your devotion, but I don’t take it lightly.  You bless me, and I hope Great Smitten blesses you.

Just so you know, Faith darling – you are a blessing, at least to me. I love your blog, and reading it brings me a peace and a sort of centered-ness (can’t get that to agree with spell check, no matter what I do, but you know what I mean). God bless your family and thank you for the peek into your life. I love you sweetie!

Wooden toys have continued to be a common part of childhood. By the 1700’s, German toymakers began to craft a variety of play figures from wood to sell to the general public. Salesmen would travel around Europe to market their popular wood toys, taking advance orders for special occasions. Almost life-like dolls and animals were becoming favorite playthings for children all over Europe.:
