1. This whimsical swinging girl necklace by MarKhed.
2. Honey. Mmmmm. It’s my current condiment of choice. I put it on oatmeal, cinnamon raisin bagels, in hot water with a bit of lemon…I love, love, love it.
3. My friend Lissie. She’s hot, funny, smart, and the best gift-giver ever in the history of the world.
4. These lovely yellow corduroy Toms. My current pair is two-and-a-half years old and looks…well…gross.
5. These DIY saddle shoes by James at Bleubird Vintage.
6. Oh grits. How I love thee.
My husband, who was raised on the likes of Marmite and full English breakfasts (where’s the maple syrup?) says grits taste “like nothing, but worse.”
Please. I add a little grated parmesan and some crumbled bacon, and oooo-eeee! Heavenly.

7. This song, by North Carolina band Jump, Little Children. It just does it for me.
8. These moccasins. Can you tell I’m obsessed with shoes? It’s probably because my stomach is so massive, shoes are the only thing I can shop for at the moment.
9. Mumford and Sons. Do you have their album, ‘Sigh No More’? Cause you should. You really, really should.
10. My husband. Truly scrumptious.
There are a lot of lovely things in the world.
Those grits look delicious! I made cheesy grits for dinner one night and gave some to my New York native roommate, she said the same thing, that they taste like nothing. I was appalled.
I love reading your blog and with every new facebook picture I get excited about the new addition to the Dwight-McDuffie household.
I am going home to COOK some grits right now! You can’t settle for those instant kind…. Nothing better than hot buttery/salty grits on a hot buttery piece of toast. yummy 🙂 Oh, and I’m gonna stop and buy some honey too. Hopefully “a tablespoon a day will keep my allergies at bay!” lol
What the heck are Grits anyway?
Jump, Little Children. 🙂
jump little children’s music makes me warm and happy inside.
i haven’t had bacon on my grits since i was at ecu. probably because it was always available for breakfast, and i almost only cook it for BLTs in the summer. mmmmm.
this is such a good list.
I worked on a music video for Jump Little Children, years ago in Charleston.
