Jack + Sally | An Anniversary Session on the Ashridge Estate

February 28, 2017

I don’t even know how to start this blog post – I’m so in love with this shoot and even more in love with this couple. Jack was born in England but has lived in New Zealand since he was about 9.

Last year, he and Sally moved back to England for a year – they’d been married for a couple of years and wanted to have an adventure together, and he wanted to show her where he was from.

They celebrated their third anniversary while they were here, and I got to help them by taking pictures of them in one of my favourite places in England – the fields and forests of the Ashridge Estate, near Berkhamsted. Basically, this place, at this time of year (late Summer)…is just a little bit magical. I mean – look at the sun! The trees! The golden grass!

Can you even? Because I cannot.

A couple more notes about this shoot: Jack released an EP last year that’s my favourite. I listen to it on repeat in the car, and I’m not even tired of it yet. You can find his music here, and download the EP on iTunes.

Sally is wearing a necklace and earrings by my good friend and amazing jewelry designer, Hannah Paine of épanoui.

Gorgeous. The fields reminds me of the Midwest prairies where I grew up <3
