Mommy Bloggers aren’t so bad.

February 18, 2011

You may recall how, a few months ago, I was all, “I don’t want to become a Mommy Blogger!  Wah!”

That was before I met my son.

And before I figured out that you can love a child with all your heart and it doesn’t change who you are.

Having Adlai adds a whole new dimension to my life; it changes the way I see the world.  But it doesn’t change who I am.  If anything, he enhances it.  As if, before, I was living in 2D, and now everything around me has become thicker and brighter and more alive.

Being his Mama makes me want to chase the dreams I’ve been putting off out of laziness or just plain fear, because what my son needs is a Mama who is alive and thriving and inspired.

So yeah, I plan to write about him quite a lot, and take copious pictures of him, and tell you how he’s making me a better person.

But I’m still not putting him in a john-john.
