“All my life I spent the nights with dreams of you.
The warmth I missed for the things I wished are comin’ true.
I got my love to give and a place to live, guess I’m gonna stay.
It’d be a peaceful life with a forever wife and a kid some day.
It’s early nights and pillow fights and your soft laugh.”

The first three times Stef and Nicky met, they talked easily, but there was no chemistry. No butterflies or fireworks. Just mutual respect and easy conversation. The day after one of those meetings – a New Year’s Eve party at a friend’s house – Stef was hanging out with a couple he knows well, showing them photos on his phone of the party.
“Who’s this girl? The blonde who appears to be single?” asked his friend Katia.
“That’s Nicky,” said Stef. “She’s perfect on paper, but there’s just no chemistry.”
“Stef,” said Katia, “Not all relationships start with a spark.”
Taking his friend’s words to heart, Stef called Nicky a couple of days later and asked her out for coffee. Which turned into drinks. Which turned into dinner.
Four months later, he asked Nicky to be his wife.
And that spark? I think you’ll find it’s now a full-blown flame.
