“Now Suzanne takes your hand
And she leads you to the river
She is wearing rags and feathers
From Salvation Army counters
And the sun pours down like honey
On our lady of the harbour
And she shows you where to look
Among the garbage and the flowers
There are heroes in the seaweed
There are children in the morning
They are leaning out for love
And they will lean that way forever
While Suzanne holds the mirror
And you want to travel with her
And you want to travel blind
And you know that you can trust her
For she’s touched your perfect body with her mind”
-Leonard Cohen
Sarah and Mike.
These two.
I don’t know what to say about them, except that Mike is in the merchant navy, so we were so excited to take some photos by the river in Bedfordshire. And also, that he told me when we first arrived that he was feeling nervous about having his picture taken, and then half an hour later he straight-up dipped Sarah like Fred Astaire and laid a giant kiss on her, so…yeah. I really, really like these guys. And this session is one of my favourites ever. And I don’t believe people when they say they don’t like having their picture taken or they’re not photogenic. Just give me 20 minutes, and you’ll be makin’ out.
