Writer for Hire

April 25, 2009

I know, I know, I’ve been talking a lot about freedom, unemployment, and being a Lady of Leisure; but don’t get the wrong idea.  I’m not Simon’s kept wife, content to lunch and spend our money (except on groceries, and the odd bottle of toilet bowl cleaner).

I’m freelancing.

It occurred to me to jump into another 9-to-5er, but after a pretty hard year – a year during which I often felt as if I was just holding on by my fingernails, I need to take it easy and refocus, and thank God I have a supportive, amazing husband, who’s encouraging me to do that, and has picked up extra work to make sure we’re okay financially.  (He’s a musician and sound engineer, by the way, and a darn good one).

Things are gonna be tight for a while, but that’s ok with me.  It gives me the freedom to work on the book, spend more time with God, and figure out where we’re going from here.

So, if you need a writer/editor/publicist on a freelance basis (or a sound engineer, for that matter), you know who to call.

We are so blessed to have such encouraging & supportive husbands during this season- we are both currently sharing.

Praying that this time brings clarity and a refreshed sense of creativity for you! xo

  2. Sounds like an adventure to me! Would enjoy knowing how you find work along that line…
